I had one semester where I was totally irresponsible and failed all but one of my classes. I’m lucky I didnt get kicked out of engineering

Quoted PAYOLETTER's tweet:
what’s a class you got a bad grade in and thought was going to ruin your life but didn’t?

Kawilihan bakery, practically an institution of Anonas Street. IDK when it was established, but we bought our morning pandesal there everyday when I was a child, so imagine it’s been there at least 40 years now

“I’m quitting tech to become a better person and I am not a fan of the show.” Sounds about right. The problem with these things though is that I usually have predictive text off. (It’s a crutch I don’t like it)

Quoted PavelASamsonov's tweet:

Try this with tech instead: “I’m quitting tech to become” and then let predictive text decide your new career path.

I’m quitting tech to become the most popular man in the world https://twitter.com/baddestmamajama/status/1227333876449775617

Finished Tales of Berseria today. Pretty good game, fairly sure I enjoyed it more than Zestiria. Now the question is whether I push for the platinum now or take a break and play something else for a while…

I read a tweet earlier (could not find it anymore) that said something along the lines of “sometimes i am of value, sometimes i offer nothing”, and I was like damn, isnt that an accurate description of the human condition

We’re enjoying ourselves at the time travel theme park when we notice small flying insects appearing and disappearing around us. We asked the guide what they were and why they appear.

“Time flies,” he says, “when you’re having fun.”

I had a very long convo with globe customer support via messenger about that unliBB thing (took 3 days because they took so long to respond between messages). Adding new charges to a bill without confirmation should be illegal

Quoted momblogger's tweet:
@talk2GLOBE hello. I did not subscribe to amazon Prime. It was a trial period. Pls remove it. Also unliBB. WHY DO you do this ?

was there a recent windows 10 update which broke the search functionality? the taskbar search doesn’t work for me now, I have to scroll up and down the start menu like an animal

Removing Bing integration like some replies suggested has worked! (Needs a reboot)

looks like it was a server side issue, @WindowsUpdate is looking into it

Quoted WindowsUpdate's tweet:
@syst_and_deploy @roytang Thank your for flagging this earlier. Check in with our Windows Release Health Dashboard for the latest updates: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-information/windows-message-center#387.

Apparently fitbit (via cloudflare) can ban your ip. Obviously I just power cycled the router to get a new ip but one wonders how less tech savvy peeps might figure this one out

Having signs like these at your tables seems like a bit of marketing/salesmanship genius. By making it easier to get addons you have a higher chance of triggering impulse purchases. Why dont jollibee/mcdo/kfc etc do this?

FUTURE ARCHEOLOGIST: Ancient humans seem to have worshipped some kind of magnificent nocturnal bird that only appears once a year, some kind of Superb Owl

Baseless speculation, but I imagine that many of those who dislike criticizing him arent the type of people who understand striving for excellence and wanting better. Quoted nuelleduterte’s tweet:

Why do I keep pointing out Digong and company’s shortcomings? Because people need to know this isn’t, and should never be considered, good leadership. The rest of us are all expected to strive for excellence in our fields and they’re not? Screw that.

02/02/2020 is only a rare palindrome date when we consider all commonly-used date formats. And the only date format preventing more common palindrome dates is the nonsensical MM/DD/YYYY, the favorite of Americans
