I hope the Dark Phoenix ending is Jean Grey destroying the universe and then rebuilding it and then the surviving x-men look around wondering where they are and on the tv there's tony stark giving a press conference saying "i am iron man"
2019 February
It's 2019 and somehow picture shops still charge me extra for digital copies (which cost them nothing) and also expect me to have a flash drive for it

there’s nothing purer or better than how much kids enjoy being picked up and then hurled at soft surfaces
anyone who’s ever been around kids for ay meaningful amount of time should know exactly how much kids long to be hefted up and then just fuckin tossed! it’s so good! they’re so excited to get fucking tossed around like a sack of potatoes it’s so pure
Why do kids love it so much? Like I remember when I was a kid at diving practice during the summer, the best part was when one if the coaches would toss you into the deep end. And in gymnastics coaches would toss us into the foam pit. Do kids just have a evolutionary urge to die?

“Vestibular sense provides information about where the body is in relation to its surroundings. This is the sense that helps you understand balance, and it connects with all the other senses.
When the vestibular system does not develop properly all other senses will struggle to function properly. Without a strong vestibular sense, kids will have no choice but to fidget, get frustrated, experience more falls and aggression, get too close to people when talking, and struggle with focusing and listening. Because they literally cannot help it.”
“Here are a few ways to support your child’s vestibular sense:
- Spinning in circles.
- Using a Merry-Go-Round.
- Rolling down a hill.
- Spinning on a swing.
- Going upside down.
- Climbing trees.
- Rocking.
- Jumping rope.
- Summersaults or cartwheels.
- Using monkey bars.
- Skating.
- Going backwards.
- Swimming.
- Dancing.
- Wheel-barrel walks.”
Yeeting kids, spinning them, flipping them upside down, tossing them in the air, and otherwise disrupting their balance temporarily, is Important For Their Development, specifically for their vestibular sense.
Kids love this because they NEED it.

Might be travelling to the US for the first time later this year. Do console game prices really go so low over there? They're always pretty expensive over here (SE Asia), even used copies never go as low as a dollar. Would it be worth it for me to visit some stores and which stores would be good to visit? I'll be in california if that matters.
I'm entered to win a game code of Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st] for PS4, courtesy of MarkMan, Evo & Aksys Games. #PlayUNIST, it's a good game! Good luck! https://gleam.io/H5HIh/under-night-inbirth-exelatest-for-ps4-game-code-giveaway

friendly reminder to give yourself space to be terrible and fail at what you do.
because it's okay to suck at first; that's where hard work and practice comes in.

Around the time the Hugh Jackman Les Miserables movie came out I was hanging out in a bookstore and I overheard a teenage girl telling her friend “Oh the movie already has a book out, that was fast!”

Passed by the Big Bad Wolf book sale tonight. I regretted it.
Maybe if this leads to countries requiring proof of vaccinations for incoming kid travellers, antivaxxers can get some sense knocked into them. If not, at least they stay wherever they are and risk the lives of their own communities, who can do a better job of shaming them
Quoted dwnews's tweet:A five-year-old boy who had not received the measles vaccine went on holiday to Costa Rica with his parents.
The country had been measles free for five years before his arrival.
Note to self: maybe have a second separate number for business concerns so you can turn it off and still be contactable for personal reasons
Wow, this week’s #TheOrville was fantastic
