The only scenario I can think of ATM where I want to go back to the previous column is when I want to modify the indentation of a line to be aligned to the previous column. In this scenario, does your editor not support backspace to go back to the previous column? (I actually had to open sublime to figure out how I do it since it's so instinctive for me right now)
Or is there another scenario I'm missing out on?
Oh, indeed it does! I never noticed it! I happily stand corrected.
The correct answer to tabs vs spaces is "whichever the file you're editing is already formatted with". Unfortunately, no text editors have that preference

I might be the only person in the world who instinctively uses the Ctrl+K shortcut in the browser. In Firefox, this focuses on the search box. In Chrome, which has no search box, it works as if you typed "?" into the address bar
