What actually happened was that I wish I never thought of Condemn. If I had swung I would have won, but as it is I forgot that the 4/5 tree would become unanimated and counted the counterattack as lethal so I didn’t push and later lost to Plummet.Misplay on my part obviously, if I had done the math correctly and figured I’d be alive at 1, then swinging with the team would definitely have been correct!

Swing with the team.1. You Win OR 2. He Condemns Angel, you gain 8 life. You are at 3. He MUST block with the three critters (unless giant growth) to not die. 4/5 tree becomes unanimated again. Play the Stormfront Pegasus. If he swings with the team, sac the boar to gain 4, leaving you at 7, then chump the largest flier. You are at 1 life with one more turn.

Well, what roytang says is true, but you have to realize that that option DOES help get things done. Even in a dictatorship that is focused on enriching / empowering only select individuals, whatever mandate the dictator wills is still expeditiously performed. I sincerely believe that the Checks and Balances mechanics of a Democracy are intended to stabilize an already secure country, with change happening only if majority or all sides agree on said change (on the notion that, clearly, it must be for the better for most / all the people, since they all want it).

Straight-ticket voting is a lot like block voting - it's great for the voter who doesn't want to think too hard. I'm not inclined to give any one President absolute power; and dominating both the Senate and the House is as close to absolute power as one can legally get within our system.

What is your opinion on straight-ticket voting? You don't think that it would help your president in getting things done or that it would lessen the chances of clashing political agenda?

Inspiring. I’m in a similar emo mode right now as my 27th birthday approaches. I, too, am nowhere near reaching my dreams, but I guess that’s as it should be. We all forget that where we are now used to be a dream; we just make up new ones all the time. Anyway belated happy birthday! I’m sure you will be insanely successful one day, as people who have the initials RT always do 😉

@Dee I only had 14 creatures, I didn’t want to be stuck with too many cards that relied on having creatures in play. Cancel and Negate were pretty good for me in the actual games. Since my opponent turned out to have ground stall guys (Wall of Frost, etc) also, Magebane Armor would have been pretty bad. Whisperslik Cloak is by far the best of those 3 equipment, since a cloak on a baneslayer angel is basically game.
