updates.20.10.2002
- so I changed the site layout again -- I do that a lot don't
I?
- I got a new redirect, royness.vze.com. The old one (roytang.cjb.net) will still work,
but this one won't have popups (I hope)

ramblings.12.10.2002
- I swear I'm getting suckier at Warcraft III. Either that or
David's connection was getting far more DCs than I thought -- my
2v2 Random win rate dropped from ~70% to ~50% last night.
- ROTC/CAT sucks. Really. I'm not sure why this popped into my
mind, but who do these military-types think they're fooling?
Stuff you learn in CAT doesn't apply to ROTC; if you tried
telling the MOs in ROTC that you already learned that stuff in
high school they'd spit in your face. Same for ROTC, do they
seriously think that crap they make you go through is enough for
you to be a decent soldier. I don't know how the reserves work,
but I'm damn sure I wouldn't send some punk who probably bribed
his COs off to war. Not that the AFP would ever have a chance of
winning a war mind you; the generals would probably collude with
the enemy for some easy cash. Dang, why do we even bother, let's
just trash the army and put up a pacifistic attitude.
- I want to play in the arcades more. I played CvS2 at SM North
Quantum last week and managed to take down a couple of guys
before I had to face a Morrigan-Hibiki team that totally owned
me. I hope I get a job which requires me to get a ride near SM
North. That way I can play a couple of games after work
everyday.
- Arc the Lad 2 has been eating up a lot of my time. This is a
helluva good game! Lots of interesting sidequests, a main plot
that runs across three games, lots of fighting, minigames and all
you could ever ask for. And you practically have a whole army to
use too! You only need to have like 10-12 characters, but my
party currently has around 27! The great part was when the Arc1
party met up with the Arc2 party, I was like "Time to kick some
ass!" My only regret is that I didn't play through Arc1 myself,
so that I could've made the import game more complete. Lazy
Alvin.

- Rant: Cheap Rushing
- I recovered some EEE Files and put
them up.
- Another week has gone by, and I'm still unemployed.
- Went 2v1 against Alvin and Brian again yesterday. Still not
sure how, but I won. Some bnet replays on Warcraft page.
ramblings.2.10.2002
- Took down the index page for a while 'coz I did something
stupid. It's back now, obviously.
- I give up on Netscape. It just doesn't want to agree with IE.
At least the site is readable in Netscape though.
- I was in the pit of despair last night. I usually get like
that when I'm applying for a job I don't like. I applied for a
job at a call center earlier today, a result of yesterday's job
fair. I would've preferred it if INQ7.net had called me
instead.
- I hate commuting. Many times I find myself questioning why
travel can't be instantaneous. I'd like to have a job where I
don't have to commute and I set my own time. That means being
self-employed usually. Maybe a freelance web designer or a
shareware developer...
- Have you ever had an urge to be a thief? To just all of a
sudden commit a crime and try to get away with it, and live the
rest of your life as an outlaw? I have, many times. Especially
earlier today as I was riding a crowded Metrorail train. I'm
usually quite self-conscious when I'm commuting, and I
occasionally check my belongings if they're all there. Other
people aren't quite as careful so it seems. A pickpocket could
make quite a living among the MRT crowds. Snatch a man's wallet
or a careless lady's cellphone, then immediately step out as the
doors close and the train starts to speed away. If only I had no
morals...
- I've been collecting a bunch of funny text files lately.
Here's one. I'll upload
some more when I feel like it. :P
