2020 March

For the past month, most of my gaming time was spent on the Steam version of Tales of Berseria, which I got from a Humble Monthly Bundle back in 2018. Summary: One of the best entries in the Tales series. Has fun combat, a great cast, a darker story and a really good aesthetic. My notes: I'm a big fan of the Tales series of games, ever since Phantasia on the SNES and Destiny on the PS1, and I take the opportunity to play them whenever they come out for a console I actually have. I'm especially a fan of

I bought the Outer Worlds earlier this month, mainly because I had been without both my graphics card and my PS4 for a bit and I kind of wanted to play a relatively new game. I got the PS4 version because I hadn't yet replaced my video card at the time and besides, the game was not available on Steam. I guess minor spoilers follow. Summary: A reasonable Fallout-esque RPG from the makers of Fallout: New Vegas. It's not as expansive or quite as nonlinear as their previous games, but it's pretty serviceable and there's a reasonable amount of stuff

2018 November

(“Late Game Review" because I’m trying to play through games on my ridiculously old backlog, so these games are pretty old) The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim came out on 11/11/2011. I remember I bought the game for Steam on launch day. I finally "finished" it after 350 hours of gameplay and seven years real-time. "Finished" in this case means "achievement complete", not just "main quest complete", because as any Bethesda gamer knows, that’s not how their RPGs roll. I had been looking forward to this game because I had previously enjoyed both ES4: Oblivion and Fallout 3 on PS3 and
My final armor set was the Deathbrand from the Dragonborn expansion since I was trying to level up Light Armor.

I remember I bought the game for Steam on launch day. I finally "finished" it after 350 hours of gameplay and seven years real-time. "Finished" in this case means "achievement complete", not just "main quest complete", because as any Bethesda gamer knows, that’s not how their RPGs roll. 2018 July

I haven't done this quest yet, because I currently have like 150k of in-game money and discovered that dying takes away 7% of my total. Not sure where I want to spend that money though lol
